Kansas State Contractor License Regulations
Minimize

Kansas does not license consruction contractors at the state level, consumers should check for licensing requirements at the local level. Every contractor is required to pass the OSHA exam. Non resident contractors must register any contract that exceeds $10,000 with the Department of Revenue. For information concerning compliance and coverage requirements of Workers' Compensation please contact the Kansas Department of Labor, (785) 296- 5000.  Many counties and cities have exam and licensing requirements. Local licensing authorities recognize code exams given by the International Congress of Building Officials and Block & Associates.
